The professional teaching of plastic arts and design is organized in higher education training cycles, grouped in professional artistic families. The training cycles include a phase of practical training in companies, studios, and workshops. These courses are public and free of charge.

Students who pass the Certificate of Higher Education in Plastic Arts and Design will receive the title of Higher Technician of Plastic Arts and Design in the corresponding specialty, within the framework of the European Space for Higher Education. The qualification of Higher Technician in Plastic Arts and Design will allow access to Higher Artistic Education and university studies. The Higher Technician in Plastic Arts and Design allows direct access, in a percentage reserved for this purpose, to the Degree in Design.
